Ingrid Brdar

Is professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social of University of Rijeka. Her research interests are focused on well-being. Specifically, she explored the concept and components of happiness, cross-cultural aspects of happiness, extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, character strengths, social competence, nonverbal communication, coping with stress and humor.

She collaborates with international research group on a project investigating conceptualization of happiness and meaning across cultures. She leads research on determinants, models and cross-cultural aspects of happiness at University of Rijeka. She is Editor-in-Chief of Springer’s Journal of Well-Being Assessment.
